Following Authors

By following topics, authors, and publications that match your interests, you will receive better story recommendations on your homepage.

From that page, you can follow new suggested authors and publications, or you can customize your existing follows.

iOS

1. Go to the You tab.
2. Tap Customize your interests.

Android

1. Open the drawer menu from the app homepage.
2. Tap Interests.

 

Following and unfollowing specific authors and publications

Medium also lets you follow specific authors and publications. Once you follow an author or a publication, stories published by them will show up on your homepage and in your email digests.

Follow or unfollow an author

To follow an author on Medium:

1. Go to the profile page of the user you wish to follow.
2. Tap Follow.

To unfollow an author, tap the Following button on their profile page.

1. Go to the publication homepage of the publication you wish to follow.
2. Tap Follow.

To unfollow an author, tap the Following button on their publication homepage.
